"Link units" or "Ad links" are one of the best profitable Adsense units you can ever use. They are small units and because of their size they can fit to any web page design. If you have a sidebar, you can put them at top or bottom of sidebar. If you want, put a horizontal link unit at the top of page.
I guess, people think about this lin units as menu items of the page and so click on them! Anyway, after clicking an Ad link, your visitor is provided with a list of related topics. When they click on these topics (or links) you will have a click.
Don't forget to use Google link units! And don't forget to assign a channel to them, to be able to analyze their clicks.
